The camping sounds like a good time. Especially on bare rock. I've never done that. In my mind, there's always been a big difference between camping and hiking. Camping is a little more relaxing and fun. Hiking is a lot more work and discomfort. I remember during Spring Break in 1991 six of us hiked up somewhere in the Santa Rita Mountains. That was the coldest night of my entire life (so far). I learned my lesson and haven't hiked since then. Camping is Beer and Doritos by a campfire 20 feet from your car. I'm all for that. And of course looking at nature and stuff. Trees, mountains, stars, streams, lakes, and wild animals.
Later.
