Cold Chainsaws

Dudes,

Too bad about the chainsaw. However, if you have the zombie defense down, that's still something. When zombies are about, and people and screaming and running around I point out to them that zombies like to eat brains, and then I gently suggest that maybe they don't have much to fear. I, of course, have much to fear from zombies so I usually don't stick around to see what happens. Unless I have a 12 gauge. Which brings up an interesting question. What type of shot is best for zombies? Since they're much larger than waterfowl (except zombie waterfowl), I'd think you'd want to go big, like 00 buck. Take down power would seem to be important. I think I'd take a .45 Thompson as well. You can never go wrong with one of those.

We got our own blast of cold air the other night. It even stayed around for a day or so. My wireless indoor-outdoor thermometer went negative for the first time in it's career (I got it when we lived in Phoenix). I somehow suspect that it' upper record, 117, is safe for now. No snow came with the arctic blast, so the kids still had school. It was like -4 with some wind and kids were still coming to school in just sweatshirts. I broke out the 'ol Eddie Bauer down parka for that morning. I wasn't chilly at all. It got up into the 30s today with the sun out, so it was quite nice and the snow and ice has melted off of the roads.

Alas, I only have boring thought now so I'll save them for myself. Later.
