Do you remember the Learning Network or channel or whatever it was called. I remember watching some doctor cutting open a kids skull. The shows where not high production stuff. Just someone video taping a surgeon talking about the procedure while he was doing it. "As you can see we have shaved away the hair and have marked the locations of the holes I will now drill." buzzzit - Buuuzzzit - buuzzzit. "Now I insert steel shims between the two holes so that when we cut the skull we do not damage the brain blood barrier."
"Now I take this saw and cut between the three holes." Zssssauot! "Now you can see the gray matter pulsating with the patents heart beat"
Dang I learned more in 15 minutes watching that two hours watching normal TV.
Talk about reality show! No script or cutting out the naughty words, or fuzzing out the naughty body parts or skipping over the boring parts. If the procedure took one hour and 14 minutes the show was one hour and 14 minutes. Real bone, blood and electric saws. If you didn't like that sort of thing you switched to a channel with less pulsing gray matter. They just don't show that sort of thing on the wussified Discovery channel that replaced it.
